What you'll do:

• Lead a team of data engineers, driving the development process end-to-end
• Run team rituals: Weekly Planning, Daily Standups, Planning Poker
• Coordinate closely with the analytics and product teams
• Contribute to architecture design for new projects
• Support and extend functionality of our existing systems
• Optimize and automate development workflows

What you need to succeed:

Technical skills:

• Apache Airflow
• Apache Spark
• ClickHouse
• dbt
• Experience with object storage / data lakes (S3; Apache Iceberg is a plus)
• Kafka
• Production-level Python and SQL
• Understanding of product analytics and attribution (AppsFlyer, MyTracker, ad network trackers) — a strong plus

Leadership & management skills:

• Experience leading a team of 3–5 people, or working as a tech lead with real ownership of deadlines
• Track record of cross-functional projects spanning engineering, analytics, and product
• Ability to give — and hold to — time estimates
• Experience with knowledge transfer and documentation
• Strong, constructive communication skills

Nice to have:

• Background in ad-tech, mobile analytics, or marketing analytics
• Experience with storage migrations and cross-region infrastructure moves
• Experience using AI tools and agentic approaches in data engineering
